The Real Urban Emissions (TRUE) Initiative was presented to more than 180 leading international mobility experts and decision-makers at the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI) Volt conference on 22 May in Leipzig, Germany.
This year’s TUMI event considered ‘a new global market place for electric and digital mobility’ and invited the TRUE Initiative to participate in the event and to showcase the real-world emissions testing work in the Marketplace within the conference.
TUMI is a leading global implementation initiative on sustainable mobility formed through the union of 11 partners to change mobility for the benefit of people and the environment, with a view to the future. This focus is very much in line with the Initiative's aims to produce accurate real-world emissions data to help cities and consumers understand the actual impact of internal combustion engine vehicles on their health and environment.
Participants were introduced to the initiative and were given the chance to use the TRUE car checker to discover their vehicle rating for NOx emissions.
Sheila Watson, Deputy Director of the FIA Foundation, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for mobility peers from around the world to learn about the innovative work of TRUE and to have the chance to test their own environmental credentials with the clean car checker.”
